…a word about English Creams

True English Creams are a little different from other varieties of Dachshunds. As soon as they are born they reveal their superior breeding and heritage by being normally very hearty and robust with thick plush coats that are silky and velvety soft. Their temperaments are usually very easy going and laid back, and as long as they are getting enough to eat you won't hear much complaining out of them. Their creamy blond fur is often dark and sooty looking at birth, gradually lightening to a shimmering rich golden hue with milky white highlights. As they grow they develop strong bonds with their masters and are passionately loyal and affectionate, but not usually quick to make friends with strangers. They will sometimes be exhuberant and playful, and even a little silly when they let their hair down, as they have wonderful senses of humor. They can be excellent hunters or show dogs and are very trainable, but are equally happy lying at your feet and snoozing until you are ready to go do something. In my opinion English Creams are royal and regal and are truly a breed apart.
